The main attraction
A small-group walk
with plenty to ask about.
Windrush’s Walk and Talk tour puts the animals and their individual stories at the center of the visit. The farm describes a gentle walking experience with close-up introductions to the alpacas and time for questions about life with the herd.
The published tour also introduces other farm residents, including a horse, barn cats, chickens, and guinea fowl. For children, that gives the outing a little more variety while keeping the focus on a working animal farm.
What the tour listing tells you
Allow approximately one hour. The listing caps ticket sales at 20, although RV guests staying at the farm may also join. Children under 18 need an accompanying adult. Wear closed-toe farm footwear and leave pets at home for the tour.
From the herd to the shop
A souvenir with
a fleece connection.
The farm’s shop includes yarn and finished alpaca products, with a “Made From Our Fleece” selection connecting some items to Windrush’s own animals. Named yarns and knitwear offer a starting point for asking whose fleece went into a particular piece.
Browse the online store for the current selection; availability varies by item. The tour description includes an opportunity to shop at the farm store.
Coming just to shop?
Windrush also offers separate store appointments , limited to six visitors at a time. These appointments do not include a farm tour. Arrange the visit directly with the farm using the contact details on its website.
A connection beyond the visit
Get to know one alpaca
a little better.
The farm’s Adopt-A-Paca program offers a sponsorship connection to an individual animal. It is an option for someone who enjoys following the herd, or for a gift that continues beyond a single day out.
Review the current program description for the included keepsakes, updates, and online meet-and-greet arrangements. Sponsorship does not mean taking an alpaca home.
Windrush also explains that caring for its aging herd is a central part of its work. That long relationship with the animals gives the farm’s stories a personal focus.
For travelers with an RV
Stay the night
near the herd.
Windrush hosts self-contained RV travelers through Harvest Hosts. Its description highlights roomy, fairly level parking, access to the farm store, and views of the animals in their pens.
Reservations must be made through the membership program before arrival. A brief farm tour depends on the hosts’ availability and should not be assumed to come with every stay. Review the farm’s RV arrival information for vehicle access and overnight rules.

A useful directions detail: Windrush warns that mapping its street address can lead to the wrong place. The farm recommends searching Google Maps for “Windrush Alpacas” by name. Confirm your route with the farm before departure.
