This selection focuses on established seasonal lots, nurseries and a farm holiday sale with their own websites. Most offer trees that have already been cut, while some also sell living trees to plant after the holidays.
A farm setting does not necessarily mean you can cut a tree there. None of the sellers below is presented as a verified choose-and-cut tree farm.

A farm visit with a tree to take home
Big Jim Farms began its public green-chile u-pick venture in 2017, building on a family farming history in the Rio Grande Valley. Its Winter of Enchantment holiday offering includes fresh-cut Christmas trees alongside wreaths, poinsettias and seasonal activities.
The trees
Fresh-cut trees selected at the holiday sale. The farm’s own description does not establish a choose-and-cut tree field.
Seasonal check
The farm describes the holiday season as after Thanksgiving through Christmas. Confirm the 2026 opening date, tree stock and individual activity schedules.
This is the option for families who want more than a tree-shopping stop. Check which photo areas, Santa visits or workshops will operate on your chosen day and whether extra activities cost separately.
Where to goThe holiday event website lists 3521 Rio Grande Boulevard NW, Albuquerque. Confirm the winter entrance and location before using directions from the summer or autumn season.

A longstanding holiday tree-lot program
Delancey Street’s holiday tree lots are part of its residential education and vocational-training program. The organization began in 1971, and its tree business has a dedicated website with a New Mexico section.
The trees
Pre-cut Christmas trees; its regional page also describes wreaths, mistletoe, tree supplies and living potted pines. Ask which items are stocked at the lot you plan to visit.
Seasonal check
The organization describes its tree-lot season as Thanksgiving to Christmas. Verify that a nearby lot is listed and open before making the trip.
Keep this outing centered on choosing the tree. Ask about available heights, prices and help preparing the tree for transport; do not assume every location offers the same services.
Where to goUse the New Mexico lot locator for the current season’s address. A specific 2026 lot location was not confirmed in this check.

Tree shopping with nursery advice on hand
Richard and Jennifer Hobson started Jericho Nursery in 2005. Its seasonal gardening calendar describes Oregon-grown cut Christmas trees kept in water, living Christmas trees, flocking, fresh garland and wreaths.
The trees
Fresh-cut and living trees are both described in its seasonal guidance. Confirm current varieties, sizes and flocking availability before choosing a particular tree.
Seasonal check
Check the nursery’s current holiday announcements for shipment arrivals, Christmas shopping hours and services. The gardening calendar is seasonal guidance, not a confirmed 2026 inventory list.
If you’re considering a tree to plant afterward, ask staff about suitability for your yard and how long it can stay indoors. A living tree needs a different plan from a cut tree.

A tree stop with wreaths and holiday greenery
Payne’s North Garden Center describes Christmas offerings that include plantation-grown cut trees, fresh garlands, wreaths and holly. Its plant information also covers living Christmas trees, giving shoppers more than one way to bring home an evergreen.
The trees
Cut Christmas trees and living-tree options; confirm stock and sizes with the nursery. Ask specifically for a real tree, since the garden center also carries artificial trees.
Seasonal check
Confirm this season’s tree arrival date and holiday hours before visiting. Year-round garden-center opening hours do not guarantee that Christmas trees have arrived.
A nursery stop can be a manageable family outing: compare a few trees, choose greenery for the door, then leave time to get the tree home. Ask about preparation and loading before purchasing.
Where to goPayne’s North, 304 Camino Alire, between Agua Fria and West Alameda, Santa Fe.

Fresh-cut firs in southern New Mexico
Guzman’s maintains a dedicated Christmas-tree page for its Las Cruces locations, including Color Your World. It describes cut trees stored in water, fresh trunk cuts and netting to make transport easier.
The trees
Its Christmas-tree information features Noble firs and living-tree options. Older material appears on the same page, so confirm the current selection rather than relying on every pictured size or variety.
Seasonal check
The business says trees generally arrive around Thanksgiving week. Confirm the 2026 shipment date, stock and prices before driving over.
Measure your space before browsing. Ask staff to explain the difference between the cut and living trees, and confirm netting and loading arrangements for your vehicle.
Where to go540 N. Telshor Boulevard and 270 Avenida de Mesilla, Las Cruces. Ask which location has the tree type you want.
See Guzman’s Christmas-tree informationOfficial seller information checked October 1, 2026. Tree shipments, prices, opening dates and seasonal lot locations can change. Confirm this season’s details before traveling.
Before the tree comes home
Make room for the one you choose.
Measure more than the ceiling
Allow for the stand and your tree topper. Check the width of the space, too, so a full tree will fit without crowding a doorway.
Ask what has arrived
Tell the seller the size and type you want. A nursery may be open before its Christmas shipment arrives, and popular sizes can sell out.
Plan the trip home
Ask about a fresh trunk cut, netting and loading. Bring suitable transport and confirm whether the seller offers any delivery service you need.
Know which tree you’re buying
A living tree with roots needs a planting plan and limited indoor time. Ask the nursery for care instructions suited to the tree and your location.
Keep the next outing simple
A small tradition can lead to another.
Choosing a tree gives everyone a part in the season. Once it’s home, you can leave the next weekend open or save a few farm visits and family outing ideas for a day when the weather and everyone’s energy line up.
If the farm setting was the part your children enjoyed, learning about alpacas before a visit gives them something new to look forward to. Confirm arrangements with the farm before making plans.
For holiday travel beyond New Mexico, explore farm outings by state and look for a stop near where you’ll already be staying. One easy visit can be enough to make the day feel different.
