Pasture visits
A reserved hour with feeding, photographs, close interaction, and an educational introduction to the alpacas.
Brockport, New York
Immersive pasture visits, seasonal alpaca yoga, and locally produced fiber on a working farm west of Rochester.
Farm profile
LaDue Alpacas is a working fiber farm on almost 12 acres about 10 minutes southwest of central Brockport and approximately 30 minutes west of Rochester. Owner Kimberly developed the farm around three connected ideas: raising productive fiber animals, creating meaningful interaction with alpacas, and giving the community an outdoor place to slow down. The name comes from LaDue Road; the farm notes that LaDue is an Americanized form of the French name Ledoux, meaning gentle or sweet.
Public access is built around reserved experiences rather than daily opening hours. The farm welcomes families, couples, homeschool co-ops, Girl Scout troops, long-term-care residents, field trips, and birthday groups. Visits take place close to the herd and are adjusted to the ages and interests of the people attending, making education part of the interaction rather than a separate presentation.
Immersive farm visits
LaDue’s year-round farm visits last about an hour. Guests enter the pasture, walk among the alpacas, offer feed, take photographs, and learn about the animals through a presentation adapted to the group. The format is intentionally close and participatory rather than a view from outside the fence. Small goats are also part of the farm and may be available to meet during the experience.
The farm’s current visitor page lists admission at $15 per person, with children under one admitted without charge. Prices and payment arrangements can change, so confirm them when reserving. The grounds are described as mostly level, with parking near the barn and alpaca paddock. The farm says this layout can accommodate strollers, scooters, limited mobility, buses, and RVs, but visitors with specific access needs should discuss them before arriving.

Gentle outdoor classes combine movement in the pasture with alpaca facts, feeding, and time for photographs.
Field trips, family groups, celebrations, and organizations can request a program suited to their visit.
Alpaca yoga
Seasonal alpaca yoga sessions are held in the pasture and are designed for a broad range of ages and fitness levels. Each one-hour session includes approximately 45 minutes of gentle yoga followed by time for alpaca facts and photographs. The animals can wander through the area, eat grass, accept grain from guests, or simply settle nearby while the class continues.
Guests bring a yoga mat or blanket, although the farm keeps a limited supply of loaner mats. The farm asks participants to arrive early enough to sign in before class and does not encourage late entry once a session has started. Someone who wants the setting and animal company without performing every pose is still welcome to sit or rest on a mat. Dates are seasonal and posted by the farm as each schedule is released.

LaDue produces fiber in whites, grays, fawns, and browns. First-cutting fleece is locally milled into roving, and some is then hand-spun into yarn. Second-cutting fiber may be sold raw or turned into dryer balls and rug yarn. The farm identifies these materials as coming from its own alpacas, giving fiber buyers a direct connection to the animals and farm where the fleece originated.
The in-person farm store carries alpaca products and toys as well as selected goods from nearby farms and makers, including local honey and maple syrup. Shopping is available at the end of a full farm visit or through a separately scheduled “Stop n’ Shop” appointment. The covered barn patio beside the paddock can also be rented for selected gatherings, subject to arrangements with the farm.

LaDue Alpacas stands out among New York alpaca farms for pairing close pasture visits with a recurring seasonal yoga program. It may suit families looking for structured animal interaction, groups needing an educational outing, or fiber shoppers who want products tied to a local herd.
First-time visitors can review how to meet alpacas calmly before entering the pasture. Because yoga and open-house events follow their own schedules, the overview of when to visit an alpaca farm also provides useful context for weather, shearing season, and changing farm conditions.
