Sewell, New Jersey
A reservation-based animal farm where alpacas share the pastures with miniature cows, Babydoll sheep, goats, miniature donkeys, ponies, and other friendly residents.
More than one kind of farm encounter
Hidden Hill Farm is owned and operated by Tara Iannacone-Bauersfeld, a longtime teacher whose childhood involvement in 4-H developed into a farm centered on animals and hands-on learning. It belongs among farms raising alpacas, but the visitor experience reaches well beyond a single species.
Guests may encounter shaggy miniature cattle, small sheep, goats, donkeys, ponies, poultry, and livestock guardian dogs as well as alpacas. Visits are arranged through the farm’s reservation system; walk-ins are not admitted.
Meet the residents
The collection changes as animals arrive or are offered for sale, but the farm currently presents these principal groups.
Micro Mini Scottish Highland, Mini Belted Galloway, Mini High Park, Mini White Dexter, and Jersey cattle bring different colors, coats, and markings to the farm.
Both Huacaya and Suri alpacas are represented, giving visitors a chance to see two noticeably different fleece types. The wider guide to alpacas explains how these animals live, communicate, and grow their fiber.
Compact Babydoll sheep add another fiber animal to the mix and make it possible to compare sheep wool with alpaca fleece in the same farm setting.
Goats, miniature donkeys, ponies, chickens, Sebastopol geese, and Great Pyrenees livestock guardian dogs complete the farm’s varied animal community.
Birthday parties
Hidden Hill’s birthday package gives the group 90 minutes for the celebration, including a farm tour, a visit with the birthday child’s animal of choice, and picnic-area access for snacks and cake. The published package starts at $400 for as many as 15 children.
The reservation also includes 30 minutes before the party for setup and 30 minutes afterward for cleanup. Decorations require advance approval, and the farm prohibits balloons, latex products, noisemakers, stereos, and speakers to protect the animals from disruptive sounds and materials.

Hidden Hill schedules themed activities throughout the year rather than relying on one permanent attraction. Past programs have included paint-and-pat classes, Scout events, holiday photographs, animal kissing booths, and an Easter egg hunt.
Paint-and-pat activities combine a simple art project with supervised time around selected farm animals.
Santa photographs, spring celebrations, and themed kissing booths bring different animals forward during the year.
Educational events draw on the farm’s focus on teaching, animal care, and respectful hands-on participation.
Stay connected
Annual adoption tiers include updates about a selected animal and private visiting time. The animal remains at Hidden Hill under the farm’s care.
