The farm

Built around the herd, not a daily attraction schedule

Susan and Wayne Robinson began their herd in 2002. Emelise Alpacas developed as a breeding farm with attention to sound conformation, fine fleece, and a range of colors. The farm also emphasizes education for people who are learning about alpaca ownership.

For a visitor, the important distinction is simple: do not assume open-gate hours. Call first to ask whether an appointment is available and what type of visit can be arranged. If the timing does not work, the directory of alpacas in New Jersey offers other nearby possibilities.

Farm store

Shop at the source

The on-site store carries alpaca fiber products. Store visits are by appointment, so ask what is currently available and arrange a time before arriving.

What should I confirm when I call?
  • Whether appointments are available on your preferred date
  • Whether your appointment is for the store, a farm visit, or both
  • Where to park and any arrival instructions
  • Current store inventory or a specific item you hope to find
